Hi Forum,

Could anyone out there help me ID the designer / maker of the following teak armchair please?

I have four of these chairs and they are nicely put together and supremely comfortable, however, I can't find any other examples online.

I would love to know who the designer is.

Thanks very much for any help, which would be greatly appreciated.

Matt.

Thank you very much indeed.

I can now see several other examples of this chair online.

There appears to be some confusion however, whether the chair is indeed by Henning Kjaernulf or Kai Kristiansen.

Most list via the latter.....and I can see similarities between this chair and other chairs he designed.

One thing everyone seems to agree on however, is just how comfortable they are.

Thanks again.

There is yet to be any real evidence they're by Kai Kristiansen. Only by the association to Korup Stolefabrik (although I have to confess I've never looked into that too deeply, either).

However they were recently listed on the Danish Furniture Index as Henning Kjaernulf, so certainly more likely that attribution is more trustworthy.

Thanks Kyle,

I've since read your other thread regarding your examples.

I like them a lot, super comfy........and by the looks of past sales online, pretty highly sought after too.

Thanks again.

I must confess my lack of enthusiasm for them, on a personal level. But that's not to be mistaken for a lack of interest or caring as to the when and who of the items I've been in possession of. That will always be of interest to me. I moved them on however as they didn't fit in, and it appears my apathy wasn't reflective of the market in general. Might have been more to do with the rosewood though.

If you're in the UK, I suspect I saw these exact ones pop up.
