They seem heavily influenced by designs by Finn Juhl, but lack some refinement.

Judging the paler, bare wood on the edges of the wooden construction and the superficial reddish hue of the surface I would conclude these are beech or cherry, stained to look like teak.

Taking this in mind I would assume these could be an american or canadian take on Juhl's designs.

As Juhl had a producer in the US (Baker) I would guess these could be a commercial answer to the more sophisticated designs on this market in it's day.

If the colorful vinyl upholstery is original I would think this underlines the possibility it's american made?

But they are cute in their own way. I like the twoseater! On the long version the piece of roundwood at the back becomes very boring and representative for lower production design.

Looks as if someone took the France & son 136 and kind of merged it with the NV 48 sofa. Interesting. If the seats were made of plastic, they would do really well in a bus or train station.

Thank you all for the input. When I first saw them I assumed Finn Juhl but dismissed that as I got closer. Still stumped. I cannot find another comparable set anywhere. Not sure what wood was used but yes it was made to look like teak with that reddish stain. Whatever wood was used it is very dense and very heavy. The vinyl seems to be original. It is a bit faded but no tears, stains, rips, or holes.
