Same as before...does anyone know who/what? Is this piece even mid-century Danish? Can't find any identifying words.

That trestle base is really unusual, to me. I think that's what you'd call it?

You have some utterly remarkable items here Scribeco. I can't say that it looks like anything I've ever seen, but given the beautiful craftsmanship and tambour doors in rosewood - along with other items you've posted, it's yet another ridiculous piece.

Mgee is right, the base is really unusual. Usually the thing that would stand out in identifying a desk.

This is a very unusual desk. Can you take some more photos from different angles? Perhaps some of the "ugly parts" that are not supposed to be visible, like the underside, back, sides of the drawers, etc. It would be helpful to understand the "class" of desk that this is.

Did it come from Illums Bolighus like the rest?

I will take and post more pics tomorrow.

This definitely did not come in the original shipment from Denmark.

My mom didn't purchase it until maybe around 1980, probably at some Danish design store in NYC, but maybe somewhere else. Wish I has asked her while she was still alive, but dementia was an issue at the end,

Even I am astounded by this forum. Great spot Feelfree.

I had considered it might not be Danish, but never considered it'd be Italian. Doesn't look Italian to me even now, knowing it is.
