Help ID Dining room Table / Chair set

There are no markings on it anywhere so not sure if its possible to figure out exactly who made it but any information it would appreciated! The construction stood out, definitely "different" as you can see in the photo showing the bottom of the table. The wood pattern and construction makes me almost certain that the chairs and table are a matching set, there are 6 chairs, not sure if the upholstery is original. Google image search was bringing back similar pieces but nothing that I could find that looked to be the same. I also added a photo of the nuts that are used to attach the legs of the table which are unique, might help not but even sure if they are original. Thanks in advance for any help!

Agree with herringbone, not really a design piece. Regular mid-century furniture not of high value. 

Wood type is most likely beech.
