Hello all,
I have a set of oak Wishbone chairs that I believe to have some age due to the stamping and look of the wood. I'm trying to date them and was wondering if someone here might know if there are any specific features that can lead me in the right direction?
The following thread was helpful ( https://www.designaddict.com/forum/Identification/Finish-and-Mark-Early-Wegner-Wishbone-Chair) but before I attempt to reach out to someone at Carl Hansen I thought someone might be able to help.
Thanks so much!
Cheers.

Is the Danish Furniture Control sticker original, or did someone just slap that on there because they felt it was somehow deficient in marking? If it is orginal, it would indicate a no earlier than ____ date. But I've never seen such a thing slapped on a Wishbone chair, and it does not convince as original based on the photos so far.
Out of four chairs, it was the only one with the control sticker. I also thought it was odd...which is why I wanted to provide it in the mix of pics. It could have been placed there after the fact...as the auction house may have put it there. Under the sticker the Carl Hansen marking is very prominent as you can see.
I think the Danish Furniture Control sticker was not stuck on by the factory. It was probably done by a seller recently who thought the chairs were inadequately marked and peeled that DFC stamp off some other piece.
I've never seen a Carl Hansen chair with a DFC mark like that, and I've looked at the photos of a lot of these marks on wishbone chairs. Also, it does not seem like a DFC sticker the factory would place the sticker over the branded mark like that.
