Picked up a cabinet piece with no identification mark (unless I'm looking in the wrong areas). Is there something that clearly distinguishes a Finn Juhl Bovirke piece as opposed to a Baker? My first thought was the brass details, but figured I should inquire.

Looks like Baker to me.

Thanks Leif. What are the telltale signs of distinguishing a Baker piece vs Bovirke?

Can you provide a photo of the side of the drawer?

See below for a poor photo I took a couple days ago that probably doesn't provide you with enough detail for what you're looking for. Uploaded in the small chance that it does, but will take another photo later today with the drawers further out.

That is American construction. So Baker.

Thank you for such an excellent shot of the underside. I really delight in seeing these.

Yes these are interesting photos. I would like to see more. Bovirke was not very reliable about marking pieces. I have some Bovirke pieces, all unmarked. So it can be hard to know unless you know the details you are looking for. Of course we all should stop paying attention to maker

Also, I love to see pieces from underneath. It tells a story in many ways, and almost nobody takes pictures from there.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback on this. I'll upload a few more shots - anything in particular you'd like to see?

The underside of the drawer, the backside of the drawer, the case with the drawers removed, how the brass handles attach to the drawers, the corners of the case itself, the backside, maybe a overall front shot.

All of these things would help me better understand Baker in the future when someone has a harder Baker question. The Baker collaboration ended in 1956, and in theory there are a few very unusual and rare pieces that were or could have been made by Baker towards the end.
