dear friends, I need your help. I just put a deposit on a jensen rocker - got too excited finding it on craigslist that I failed to verify authenticity. When I compare it to images online it doesnt look right - too many screws, no buttons and upholstery is higher at top edge than teak.
did I just put in money for a fake? It wasn't cheap too - $375. I didn't think there were replicas of this chair around.
Please help!
Thanks for your time.

I don't know anything about whether there are knockoffs of this rocker or not.
However, the chair has to have been re-upholstered, which could account for all manner of seat cushion related diferences (note the front of the seat is not quite "right" either). And the placement of those screws looks more to me like an owner or "professional" furniture restorer/upholsterer addition.
In all, given the currently available evidence, I would think that it is more likely it is just a highly debauched example of the rocker. I would study the details of known marked rockers and look closely at it in person and let that determine it.
