Stumbled across the forum while doing some research on an Eames rocker I purchased about a year ago. Didn't pay much for it just curious about it's authenticity.
Through my research I'm almost certain the base and rocker is a recent knock off/repro as the rocker is much skinnier than authentic eames rockers I have seen.
To me the shell does seem like it could be authentic. I came across an article that some shells were covered in fabric and the back of the shell was painted black. Of course I don't see any markings because of the black paint. The shell colour seems like the salmon colour they had for some shells and the edges do appear to have gue residue that could have attached the fabric. Can anyone shed some light? Much appreciated!!
