I was surprised no label or cast in marking on this. If its a repro I will get rid of it since I don't have the base and the seat is also clearly shot. But is it a vintage repro, or an unlabeled original? If original is it too far gone to repair? Any ideas on where to look for a swivel base? Looks like if I took the vinyl off I would be left with bolts going through the seat.

It’s a removable cover. Have an upholsterer sew it up and put it back together. Find an old h-base. That’s it.

I’d just stitch it back together myself if I were you. Needle and dental floss.

Thank you so much. I assumed the cover was attached so didn't try to remove it. When I did, the shell looks perfect, much to my surprise, needing only a damp cleaning. The cover, though, needs more than just stitching as the pics show. (Also found the remnants of a label on the cover once I pulled it off). I'm thinking it isn't worth it to repair the cover, and I'm better off just finding a suitable base?
