I just acquired this chair, I was hoping I could get some clarification as to what type of wood it is? Please let me know your thoughts.

@havertz, I must agree with Monsieur Renner's assessment in this case. The wood grain figure seen in one of the arms of your chair is a signature feature of oak (especially white oak) and is most pronounced when it has been cut perpendicularly to the tree's annular growth rings (quartersawn or quartered). Over time and exposure to UV light and atmosphere, the surface of white oak can oxidize and darken to a color similar to teak. Also, oil finishes typically accelerate this change of appearance.

Thank you, I did not know this. I'm fine with it being oak, I just thought that because the photo I found above of the pair of oak chairs looked so much lighter in color, that mine must be teak. When I originally saw the chair last week I figured it was oak though because it just looked too light in color to be teak.
