Hello all, hoping someone here can help me identify these chairs. I bought 5 and looking for a 6th. Is there a source on the web that can identify these? Any idea of possible age? I'm guessing they are from England, perhaps 19th century? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@mcleandesign

The chair is older, probably 17th century, could be French or Flemish. There are thousands of these chairs in French and Belgian castles.

@mcleandesign  This forum focuses on "modern" furniture and design from about the 1920's forward.  Your chairs are what I believe would be called English Gothic Revival or Jacobean style.  There are a lot of chairs in this style from the 1920's and 30's online.  I'd suggest sites like Ebay or Chairish to find another one, or auctions if you have them in your area.  For more of an expert opinion on your chairs specifically I'd try a forum with a focus on "antique" styles like this one:

Or maybe, as Mark says, an English jacobean chair. You can see from the glue connections whether it is 300 years old or a later replica.

And there's a seller on Etsy that has many chairs in this style.  This one they have labeled as

"1920's Antique Vintage Gothic Revival Jacobean Dining Side Chair"

Thank you for you advise. I'd love for it to be 17th century! Sadly, I don't think that it is though.

Thanks. The Jacobean Revival style seems to fit. I'll keep traveling that road. I'd love to find a 6th matching chair, or possibly two similar that can be at either end of the table.
