OK so I had the opportunity to look at a desk recently that I might have a chance to buy that I'm hoping the best of the best here can help shed some light on. I have no pictures but the description of the desk is as follows.
Solid (walnut or teak?) desktop, back of desktop was slightly convex, drawer stack on the left, lower file drawer with an organization insert (stuff went in at a diagonal), dowel legs to the outside of edge of the top & drawers, wood stretcher that didn't appear to leave a lot of leg room, solid wood finger pulls about 2" wide.
The drawer pulls and wood tone were very similar if not identical to this Knoll credenza. Though I have yet to find a single desk resembling what I saw.
I'm dead serious. Not that...
I'm dead serious. Not that easy to go back since it was about a 2 hours away... And don't think I'm not kicking myself for not taking pictures (I bought some end tables from the seller, desk wasn't for sale yet...). I don't have high hopes for actually finding anything about the desk but figured just maybe somebody knows a thing or two.
The most unique part about it was the original storage tray that was at the top of the file drawer. It was a tray (also solid wood) maybe 3" deep to store pens or letters or whatever that would go in at an angle. Remove the tray and your files are stored under it.
The closest desk that resembles it is that of Risom, but I definitely don't think it's a Risom desk...
