My boyfriend bought a pair of these chairs for $50 a couple years ago. Unfortunately, he removed the rubber straps (which were, admittedly, degraded) and replaced them with what you see here. He also used small (#6) screws to secure these burlap straps. (I can't help but say: "Sad!")

I have three questions:

Is this possibly an lb Kofod-Larsen design? For Selig?

What do the numbers represent?

I appreciate your help! Thank you.

If you want to redo that webbing the proper way, it's not too hard and the chairs will be more comfortable. Elastic webbing is readily available. Jute webbing is ok for many purposes but it does stretch and sag after awhile when it's the only support in a seat, especially if it wasn't stretched with a special tool when installed.
