Very unlikely to be a well known designer or maker. And probably from the 70s.

Hi Leif, many thanks for your help as always! There is also a picture from the bottom and the whole construction does not appears to be as smart as. Ok would expect from a Danish piece. The design does not look so bad though.

Cheers,

Ernest.

Thank you, Leif. It's also puzzling that there is no mark apparently.

Cheers,

Ernest.

I've seen teak lounge chairs in this heavier 70s style with labels reading Thailand or Singapore but they were knockoffs of the Domino M

Hi! Thank you for the hint. I don't have one of those, but I could ask the owner to go and have a closer look...

hi! What puzzles me is that the owner is selling a bunch of danish furniture, including some marked and well known pieces. So I wonder how something from Asia would have ended up in the bundle. Could it be this chair is not danish but still from Scandinavia ?

Thank you

Ernest

And what are these other pieces?

I don't see why this chair can't be Danish. It could of course be Swedish or Norwegian too I suppose although I don't think it looks like a Norwegian production. And It could be an Asian production too.

There are plenty of companies who could have made it but it isn't a good designer piece.

Thank you, Leif. Other stuff is some Moller chairs, and another danish couch from Magnus Olesen, a table from henry rosengren hansen.

I found this armchair that is somehow similar:

Thank you

Ernest

Well that probably suggests that it is Danish. And it would be common to see that lot sharing space in a retailer's catalog with this chair, but again very late, maybe the 68 att he earliest, but I think a bit later is more likely.

Magnus Olesen was a member of Domus Danica, so it is possible the chair is also from another member of Domus Danica, maybe, if you are lucky. This ad has there names:

hi! from a quick look it does not look like it's in the list, but I need to spend more time on that webpage.

Thank you for the lesson. I think this is a good logic to investigate the origin of a piece.

Best regards,

Ernest.
