A bit of a puzzle, but it seems that the battens on the underside of the top/tray could be placed on either side of the cross rails allowing slightly better access to the wells below. And I still can only imagine that the cart originally came with something in the round cutouts. Ice buckets, decanters? It’s anyone’s guess. The overall awkwardness of the piece may help explain the difficulty of identifying it.
LOL, I suppose it is awkward but I still enjoy it. So is it fair to say that it’s likely a loose copy of the Arne Hovmand-Olsen side table made into a slightly clunky drink trolley?
I don’t know if the curved legs really are a signature design for AHO but yeah, I guess one could put it that way.
