Chair identification help  

Asko, Finland. Not sure of the designer. They are on the cover of the catalog, and don't seem to be directly tied to any designer mentioned.

Thank you Leif. Fairly difficult finding another example even including Asko in my search query. Must not have been a very popular choice among customers.

Asko also seem to have done a poor job advertising it. Here is another catalog:

The chairs are in there, from behind. I think one of the captions might even say who designed it, but I can't read Finnish at all. If you want to type those captions into google translate, you might find out it has a named designer. I would be curious to know....

There is an ottoman. And there is also a high back version.

After google translating that page of the brochure it seems the designer is Aulis Leinonen.

Yep, that is the highbacked version. And it even has a name and design date: Anjuska, 1960.

Would Herman Miller have sold something like this that sort of looks so much like an American product? Or did the former owner say it was Herman Miller because it is plausible and sounds good? (I don't know the answers to these questions, but I'd like to). I don't think I've ever heard of HM selling Finnish pieces before, but I am far from a HM expert. Others here sure are.
