hi found these 2 chairs in the loft paint/ lacquer is flaking, seats perfect Super light and stamped with what looks like made in Italy

Translate super light as you describe them into Italian and you have the name you are looking for.  Superleggera. It was a vernacular design in Italy that was produced in many versions.

Agree with @leif-ericson. 'Style of' Gio Ponti ladder back chair made by various Italian manufacturers 1950's - present. Possibly Chiavari.

Hi Thank you.sorry to sound silly but we are trying to downsize and a local shop has offered to buy them for £10 I just want to be sure they are not of any value.

We don't get into discussions of specific values on this forum.  Your best bet is to go to a site like liveauctioneers.com and search results using keywords like "Italian Ladder Back Woven Seat" .  You will get a good idea what this type of chair sells for.  Unless they're  Cassina or Chiavari, which is doubtful, it's not much.
