Not some frivolous query about value or ebay here.

To me this is an almost perfect design, to some maybe a little dull but I'm keen to know anything about it.

Thanks,

It looks a lot like Scarpa's Bastiano chair for Knoll, only with a scrawnier frame. Being so close and looking to me like a knockoff, you may have a hard time finding much out about it. This is all a guess, of course.

Thanks, I find the Scarpa chair you mentioned a bit brutal.
Relatively scrawny or delicate?

KOMFORT
The chair you have there is no SCARPA chair but from a series that were produced by KOMFORT, Denmark
The set was available in teak or rosewood and had some super coffee tables to match.

excellent, thank you Simon, I like theme even more now and think they put the Scarpa in the shade.
The only thing I'm not too sure about is the wedge shaped cushion , perhaps it would have been better to angle the frame of the backrest.

a bit like the sans confort perhaps 🙂
The beauty of the komfort design is that if the backrest design was reworked different sitting angles could be tested quite easily. One of those things too where cushion density becomes pretty important.
I need a new bed and think the sofa could be adapted quite well to it, with a large cushioned "headboard" at the ends.

allright, now that I see the side better in simon's pics, I'll give you delicate. 🙂 And yes, Scarpa's chair is seriously macho.

God damn, you're good, Simon! 🙂
I saw one of the coffee tables last year in a store here in Copenhagen, though I've forgot which one.
