I have a Danish elbow chair, dated 1961, with a stamp underneath the seat. Can anyone help identify the manufacturer?

Thanks

Its Vermund Larsen for VL mobler. In sheepskin it looks really nice.

Edit: corrected the name.

To be honest, the name is also new to me. But the logo reads vl mobler, and when you google that, you get quite a lot of VL M

I'm sorry. Its Vermund Larsen, not Lassen.

Nice that the website ties the logo to the chair and confirms that VL stands for Vermund Larsen.

It seems odd to me that it says 'Danmark' Maybe this is because the company never exported? Or it is from circa 1951?

I read somewhere that this special chair was from 1960 or 1961 but that''s not documented. But the did export a lot for sure. According to wikipedia in 1969 50 percent of the sales went to export. The company produced all the conductor seats for the Hamburger Hochbahn. And - very impressive - the were the first ones to use gas cartridges for hight adjusments. And: together with Ib Kofod Larsen he made the first fiberglass chair produced in one pour. Never heard all of that before. It's always good to google some chairs. 🙂
