hello, someone I know has acquired this desk . I have tried to find any info on it but come up empty handed. The owner told me he did find someone in Montreal with same desk in rosewood but still no ID. Could not find anything similar on the inter webs. Can anyone help? The back of the floating boxes are drop down bar type storage . kind of love that order detail on the side lip edge. any input welcomed,
thanks for your time,
L
I wasn't able to ID your desk but did find the one near Montreal. They listed it as by Finn Juhl but I found no evidence to support that. Here's the link with additional photos.

There was another teak one listed on Kijiji in London, Ontario (maybe your desk) but the link is dead.
hi @Mark737, thank you for seeking additional info on this thread and for chiming in. Yes the story at this end bring relayed getting more elaborate with the rosewood desk sold and seller claiming 5 figures and bicoastal interest and throwing around a presumed Finn Juhl attribution. As I said, the teak desk is not my desk but a colleague's. I just hoped someone here had some old catalogs or had some experience with this model so the attribution/ misattribution would not perpetuate. It is a gorgeous, beautifully made desk. thanks again for joining in, all the best, L
@lca. That lip profile reminds me of Kurt Ostervig's nesting tables for Jason Møbler.
However I have not found any desks by him; so possibly inspired by...
Some subtle differences.
Attaching image of those tables.
ps; BTW, also came across some Dyrlund desks with the same style top drawer inserts. Image 3

@lexi Ostervig is credited with this desk, also by Jason c. 1957. Back corners definitely have some similarity.
I asked John Mortensen, who designed for Dyrlund, if he knew the desk and he did not. He said his guess would be Preben Schou or Severin Hansen. I found desks by them with some similarities but no match.
thank you so much for taking the time to research and reach out to contacts and to share the results . I love a good mystery and you have uncovered and broadened some great clues and theories solving it or towards solving it .
I am off to research Jason c.1957 . Is that the Mobilfabrik associated with Ostervig at that time? Not a name i am familiar with .
grateful for your input . LCA
@lca. I know the desk belongs to a colleague, but would it be possible to get pics of the sections at the rear when opened. Also some images of the sides of rhe drawers; joinery details etc; can give some clues.
I am also enjoying the search...
Kurt Ostervig worked with a number of manufacturers. Jason Møbler was one of them.
