While all of the closeup construction details you posted look correct, you left out the one that is the easiest to use for ID: the wedged tenon joints for the front legs. The tops of these joints are usually hidden by the upholstery, but would appear to be exposed on your chair. The same joint was used for the exposed seat of the Peacock chair. The joint is a thing of beauty (also used for the Papa Bear stool), and is a good quick detail to reference to help determine A.P. Stolen production.

Here is a photo of a partially hidden one.

Just found this advert for the AP Stolen Papa bear which shows some detail of frame and mentions the materials used for upholstering.

Hello,

I have just purchased this chair and suspect it is one of the Swedish copies. There are no markings and the back rail on the underside of the chair is poorly joined. The chair appears to have been reupholstered in the 70s or 80s and this back rail may be a replacement/repair.Anyone have any views? Thanks in advance,

Mark.
