Well the interior decor appears to be by Ray Eames, but the piece couldn't possibly be by Ray, as he was dead. Still dead. Sorry I couldn't help more.

To Aunt Mark - Thx for answering (-: Its so annoying not to remember the name of the piece when I had to pay approx USD 2000 by the year of 1985-87.

I have to figure it out as I found of the design. I do remember my other pieces (Zanotta, titti Fabiani, Le corbusier) almost forgot to mention IKEA (-:

This is why I always look on the identification boards. I looked at this thread earlier on with no clue, and saw one online at a local dealer's a few hours later. Funny how it so often works like that.
