hi all,
picked up two of these lounge chairs. i think the wood is oak and they weigh a ton.
they seem to be relatively well made but perhaps not top draw. i'm guessing they're 'in house' designs but happy to be proved wrong 🙂
perhaps someone out there knows the designer or the company that produced them ?

that's interesting leif. i'm based in switzerland so thonet may well be the producer. judging by other examples online, i'd say it's definitely the bonanza chair.
i've also seen 'pia' chairs here that have the 'girsberger' label on. exactly the same chair but with a swiss company label on.
i'm guessing that many pieces of this era were made on license by many companies.
i don't think that where it is produced changes much as long as the quality is there!
