Hello,
Once again I have found a France & Son piece that I cannot find in these particular dimensions .
This is an absolutely stunning, massive solid teak table by Finn Juhl marked with the France and Son medallion. From the 500 series I think?
I can find other tables but not with the dimensions of 21 inches Height/69 inches Length/ and 23.5 inches in Width.
I am wondering if anyone has seen this in a catalog or in person? It is really big. I am also curious if it was meant to be a massive coffee table or perhaps a short sofa table?
Any info/comments is welcome,
thanks very much for your time/input

wouldn't you be better off describing the table in cm? I have to imagine that the official literature calls out the dimensions in cm or mm, and any mention of inches is a conversion. Any time there is a conversion, there is the opportunity for mistakes and rounding issues.
I know that it is not always the case, but it has to be the majority of furniture build in Denmark.
So would the 53 in the model name, represent the height?
You're on the right track. The "53" suffix refers to the variable height of the table. 531 is the fixed plan shape number. Here you go ...
Edit: Zephyr beat me to the punch by a few seconds.
Double edit: just realized my first post had a typo. I meant to type 69 instead of 60. Sorry for the confusion,
So so helpful cdsilva and just great to see the catalog page filled with the dimensions and photos! I have two of the end tables as well so great to see that info there as well.
I was surprised when I was looking around that there were so many different dimensions ; some the same length but not height etc. I did not realize these tables were made in different heights as well as lengths and widths so thanks Leif and the catalog really spells it out. Cool to understand the nature of the numbering system as well. Anyway, thanks very very much.
Zephyr, I live in Canada and we are fully metric but as I searched for similar examples of my table, dimensions were listed in standard so I just figured I would stick with that. I do believe you are right universal measurement would be awesome.. Interesting though that the catalog also presents metric secondarily 🙂
Snow and wind here today...very abrupt end to a really lovely autumn.
Thank you all for taking the time to share
