I'm a long time reader, first time poster. Sorry to be so boring with my first post debut, but does anyone recognize the make of this Danish style chair. It has many different Danish designer elements, but nothing distinct. I looked under the paper cord with a flashlight, and found no apparent markings. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Actually, it IS a bit unusual in that the weave is the kind that doesn't have any L nails or other fasteners on the underside of the frame. This weave is really common on Yugoslavian "Danish Modern" style chairs but it wasn't used by many Danish designers. So that's a clue right there.

The ones I'm thinking of are the Ringstol and another chair by Illum Wikkels

In case the link changes or site gets shuttered, here is the Eilersen ad which spanky referenced above.

However, what truly makes her the creme de la creme of weavers is this page I just came across in Furniture Forum 1959. While I have not yet been able to verify that your chair was designed by Wikkels

Ooo, nice catch, cdsilva!

I clicked "open image in new window" to see the biggest version of that photo and then zoomed in a bit, in case anyone else is squinting to read the print:

Best thing about spanky beside her breadth of knowledge, depth of experience, and capacity of heart, is that she gives it away freely.

She is a treasure. My favorite niece. Plus she can cook.

Best,

Aunt Mark

haha--you're too kind, both of you, and I can only do about three things passably well, the rest of it I am terrible at! Well, maybe four things if you count very basic handknit turtleneck sweaters.

That is one smoking hot lead. Notice that the Otto Gerdau page assigns it a model number of 24GT. This may not be the manufacturer's model number, but if it were it would certainly fit very nicely between models 23 and 25 from N. Eilersen as illustrated in the ad.
