I know, more chair ID requests...sorry. 😔

Stuck at home; supermarket shelves empty; St. Patricks day celebrations cancelled.Pubs soon to be forced to close their doors; whats a girl to do?

Hit the laptop..search engines fired up, glass of wine to hand. Slow cooked shoulder of lamb looking after itself in the oven...

Came across images online of this chair, variously described as Madsen and Schubell "style" or in one case "attributed to Arne Vodder" or just plain "Danish" chair.

Any ideas?  To me, the armrests have a Swedish feel , as does the curved shape at the top of the front legs. The slight bend/kink in the back leg is also quite Swedish/ Norwegian in style.

Any comments/suggestions welcome

@mcm-interiors

Welcome back HM.

Having recently posted on the Madsen and Schubell thread ( link below) , I checked Instagram for #madsenschubell and noticed you  posted the same chair as the one pictured above, that I am trying to identify ; albeit a different shaped back. (apologies if I am mistaken and this Instagram account has nothing to do with you )

You say it is a Madsen and Schubell chair, so you might be interested in sharing any information you have, with regard to your chair, to linked thread. The information from Henry Schubell's family is a work in progress: (@herringbone has done a stirling job in tracking them down and hopes to meet up with them soon, once the travel restrictions have been lifted)

I'll probably have to contact Preben again about the Leif Alring attribution and I might as well ask him about this chair. Although I think he would have mentioned it. It definitely resembles model 4 but the armrests have a swedish feel, as you said. It's not in the Vik and Blindheim catalog from Mats Linders site either. So I guess the OP on Instagram just mixed up the two.
