Hi all,

I am about to buy this Alanda table by Paolo Piva.

The sellers states it is the real deal and I, based on the posts on this forum, would say the same.

I would really appreciate a 2nd opinion on this one before I decide to buy it tonight.

Measures: 80x80x 30 or 40

Thanks in advance!

Looks like one of the replicas.  The real versions by B&B Italia were 120cm square, or 120cm X 180cm and  27cm high.  There are many threads on here that discuss this question.  Here's one from earlier this year:

Hi there, you guys must be fed up with us newbies asking for authentication, so I thought I would add to the myriad of questions.

I have what I think is a Paolo Piva table that I may have to sell. 47" square (120cm), 26cm high. Glass is painfully heavy - so many bruises over the years!!! 13mm glass (slight green tint, rounded corners). Glass sits directly on black frame, no plastic. Purchased early 1990's. Paid £500 for it - took 3 men to carry it in.

Not the best image - yet. Thanks in advance - no rush.

Could you post a picture from further away with some more pieces blocking it?  Sorry, don't mind me, I've had a few pints this afternoon.  I'm not aware of any replicas that had the correct dimensions and heavy glass sitting on top of the frame.  Most replicas are smaller and higher, and most have thinner glass that sits inside of the frame.  I'd bet it's legit.  Anyway, none was marked as far as I know, so just assume it's the real deal and proceed with confidence.

Photos attached, clear of all debris... never realised how grubby it was!!! Will need a child slave / chimmney sweep to slide under and polish the powder-coated steel...

Hi Stan, that’s definitely one of the replicas.

Hi Nick, that looks very much like the real deal to me.

Thank you so much for your reply. Info appreciated.

Times are harder for everyone, so I may need to sell - hopefully not!
