I picked up this chair a few days ago because of its similarities to the LP48 chair by Ejner Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen for Ludvig Pontoppidan. Compared to ones I found online, the dimensions are slightly off and the legs are square mahogany, not round teak, though the DFI entry does list mahogany as one of the woods used for these. It has no markings so I figured it was probably by an American maker like Jamestown Lounge or Paoli, known for their Danish-inspired chairs. The only other example I found that had square mahogany legs were the ones in the third photo, sold by a Chicago dealer and listed as LP48 chairs by Larsen and Bender Madsen, but with no photos of marks or tags. I also found a pair with wood back and arms, shown in the fourth photo, which were listed by the auction house as by Robsjohn Gibbings for Widdicomb (they say they had Widdicomb labels but did not include a photo to back it up). What do you think?

I think the chair in the last photo, that you mentioned was advertised as by Widdicomb, looks most like the the chair in the DFI entry photo. And it appears to have upholstered back and arms to me.
@tktoo That last chair is odd. It looks like wood, but it has piping like upholstery. Here's a close up for more detail. And, yes, the pair was listed by the auction house as "by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings labeled Widdicomb" but with no photo of a label.

That is a strange, new detail to me. Is the bead leather? Could be Widdicomb, I suppose. Otherwise, it's an outright copy of LP48. Produced under license maybe?
