Has anyone seen anything like this? I picked this up at an estate sale yesterday.... Selling off the back stock of a Scandinavian and modern design shop that went out of business in the 70s.
The mesh is really odd. I was wondering if it might be an upholstery form? The final photo shows it next to another Diamond for comparison. The upholstery tag is dated 1970.

i found this from a older DA response
Knoll Art Metal
Florence Knoll sold the company to Art Metal in 1959. Art Metal was eventually purchased by a financial firm called Heller in 1967, and in 1969 Knoll Associates became Knoll International; I'm pretty sure that no Knoll furniture was labeled "Art Metal" after that.
So... 1959-60 to 1967-69.

Interesting. But that doesn't explain the wide mesh. It's like every other wire was skipped. There's no indication the wires were ever there.
