Hi:I recently aquired two sets of bedroom furniture suites from an amazing mid-century designed house that still had almost all of its original furnishings. The problem is I can't ID or find anything out about my favorite set. I've been working with mid century furniture for years and have never had this much trouble even finding a lead or a hint on a bedroom furniture design. I'm posting photos of the nightstands first, but I hopefuly can add some photos of the matching dressers later. The nightstand with the nice white metal, with enamel coating, knobs is the set that has me completely stumped and I'm most curious about. No labels whatsoever still attached, but there are remnaments of one being there. The low dressers that came with the set were connected with a white laminate top so it made a smart counter/ dressing table inbetween the two pieces. The pieces are very well made, solid wood. The other set of nightstands, with the brass tips on the legs does have a label. It was made by "Sun Glow" and the name of the line is 'Smart Trend" which was introduced in 1955. I've been able to find out little about this company other than it existed in Ohio and NJ from the late 1920's until at least the 1960's. (Their big years seem to be in the1930's and 40's when they were a very big company) I've found one or two other obscure pieces by the company onine, but nothing about them. I did discover that Sun Glow was contracted to make all the dressers for the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas in 1961 when suites were being updated and remodeled.. (There was a lawsuite between the designer, the hotel and Sun Glow so that's how I was able to find out some of the details.) I figure I might only ever know that "sun glow" made the second set, and that's fine. I figure at least adding the info above might help someone else in the future researching the company or any maybe any additional info about the company can be added to the thread later. But I'm very curious about the first, unlabeled nightstand and dressers. The crafstmanship and other details tell me it is not made by Sunglow - they are too different in too many respects in regard to production. I really love the small white knobs on these nightstands, and figure they maybe the key to figuring out who made them. I swore I had seen these exact knobs befoe, but when I go back through all my references and search onlie I come up blank. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.
