I cannot figure out what this sofa is, or where it would have been made. It has the three bands of tubular chrome with the wood on the top and the bottom. It looks art deco to me, but I don't think its old enough to be "art deco" (but does have some age to it, its vintage for certain). Has anyone seen this before?

Where are the back cushions?
Clearly there must be be back cushions otherwise it must be something used to put a Gitmo detainee in a stress position. Love the metal work on the arms.

cushions
it would have had back and seat cushions, but it is now cushion-less... I don't know what they would have looked like either. Speaking of.. anybody know of a place to buy pre-made cushions? I'm sure it would take a pretty standard size....

Cushions
The cushions should look like this (images stolen from old auction -- they didn't know who designed the chairs either).

oh
thanks! Its great to know what the original cushions looked like - a soft edge, rather then a hard edge. maybe I will just have to try making new cushions... or maybe I can steal cushions from another old sofa......

Hello guys. I was linked to the post when I was reaching my own sofa. I have the same one that I will be selling on, this one also comes with two armchairs.
I haven't yet found anything about it, but my example is in great condition, and when I get around to having a good look around it I will look for the makers make and or stamp. Please keep updating all info found that this, as I've never seen one before are will need to know how much its worth to sell on.
Thanks!

I've seen this piece attributed to Robert Haussmann a few times, but can't verify the legitimacy of the attribution.
