Teak(?) armchair ID help, has anyone seen this before?

I just got this chair after waiting weeks for it to arrive, I bought it on the basis of a very bad picture and have to say I'm very happy I took the chance! It needs a bit of work, but I can see the potential! The owner said it was reupholstered but can't remember what was on it before. I'd love to bring it back to its former glory. Any ideas as to its origin/designer? There don't seem to be any makers marks.

I finally found it!! Louis Van Teefelen apparently! This took ages!! I do love it.....

This is the one I initially found. Once I had the name I found lots of examples!

Glad you found the answer. I never see that stuff where I live. And for what it is worth, I am reasonably confident the wood is Afrormosia.

Thanks Leif! It's my favourite chair to sit in, it's so comfortable! I'm pretty sure it's teak as well. I love when I find the answer after such a long time!
