I was hoping someone could help me out with a chair my husband bought at a garage sale. It's a very nice looking chair which appears to have been reupholstered at some point. I did a bit of research after finding a sort of stamp on the chair that said "Made and finished in Denmark Imported by Selig". I was only able to find one photo of an identical chair listed for sale on Etsy but I wasn't able to find any other information on this specific chair. Basically I'm trying to verify the information and pricing I saw listed on Etsy is accurate. I want to reupholster the chair and am trying to decide how much to spend on it. I also was hoping to find some photos to make sure whoever upholstered the chair last did it corectly.

Looks like it is perhaps missing a rear cushion.
It is a nice chair. Have it upholstered right. 100% wool cloth. Period appropriate. Try kvadrat/maharam or knoll. Then enjoy it.

Leif,

Could this be added to the hidden designers forum, we know Ib Larsen, and a dozen others were imported by Selig, but it looks particularly inhouse. reminds me of this:

I should have mentioned that there were two versions of this chair/arm style.  One an occasional chair, the other a lounge.

The chair is one of the designs that Kofod Larsen did for Selig.  He is named as the designer of the chair in the Selig catalogs, and a number of print ads.
