Hmmm...that is Schramberg pottery (Germany) and it has kind of a Bauhaus look, I think. Eva Zeisel designed for them in the late 20s and she did some work in that vein. I couldn't find your particular piece (which I think might be a wall pocket--a vase that hangs on a wall) but that doesn't mean anything.
Don't get rid of it. Find out for sure what it is, if you can, if you're interested. Maybe someone here will know more than I do (wouldn't be hard---I just made a few semi-educated guesses to find out that much).
