Can anybody identify this rosewood and teak wall unit? It's 63 inches wide by 76 inches high and very heavy.

Perhaps it is walnut and oak...

I second Leif.
I am not fully sure on the lighter wood, but I am quite sure the darker wood is walnut. Also, if it is really heavy this also supports the Walnut/Oak vs. Rosewood/Teak. This being true, the lighter wood would probably have to be White Oak, as it is one of the few wood species with similar shrinkage/expansion coeficients as walnut, this would allow that wood sandwich to still be stuck together so nicely.

It is veneer, at least the walnut is veneer, and the particle board substrate is a lot of dense heavy glue.

I was told it was rosewood and teak. I have no idea either way. I agree it looks like walnut. Where is the particle board you're talking about? Would more pictures help?

More pictures always help. The walnut is a veneer. Underneath it will be particle board.

I have attached more photos. I don't see where there possibly could be any particle board.

The cases and doors are veneered in walnut. You can see the repeating pattern of the veneer on the inside of the open door in the photos. I don't know what is behind the veneer, but it is not solid wood.
One of the photos shows a piece of dark stained pine plywood.

I agree the case and door is veneered in walnut around the edges, but that's it. The rest is solid wood, correct? The dark stained pine plywood is underneath the case and the back of the case.
