Been a while since my last post.
I think I have already worked this out as I think they are not real. I can not inspect them in person. They have had them for 7 years and bought them used.

What do you think? Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks for the input tchp. This place has 48 of these chairs for sale. I think that is another sign that they are probably not real.

The photos are kind of small, but one thing that strikes me is the very vertical aspect of the rear leg, like it is just straight up and down, with no cant to it. Also, where it meets the side stretcher of the chair seat, that part of the chair also seems like is has little or no slant to it.
The front stretcher also looks a little thick, and the edges seem quite angular and sharp, whereas the real chairs have very soft, rounded edges to the front, back, and side pieces.

Wow, the things one could do with 48 knockoff round chairs.

As tchp has demonstrated without saying, when you disassemble a chair, repair, and careful put it back together, you get to know all of the individual details, geometries, and subtleties very well. So even with small photos and no closeups of an unknown chair, red flags are so much easier to spot.
I find that close-up photography also gives me a much better understanding of the design details of a piece.
