Hi, I have searched everywhere I can think of but cannot find any information on my table. It is quite tall for a coffee table (Height ? 54cm)
I am not even sure as to the wood used?
Any help would be great! Thanks

Nice design.
Could it be intended as a lap desk or for lounge dining -- for instance ?

I don't know really, it is a very handy height when placed beside a sofa, so may be a side table? It is really lovely, so I'm surprised I can't find out anything about it

Is it a solid teak top? What is the edge profile? Can we see a photo of the under side in better lighting?

And can we see some photos of the wood grain. The wood species can be indicative of origin.

Beautiful table
For some reason it reminds me of Paul McCobb... I would suspect this is more American than Danish, although I could well be wrong.

Reminiscent of Rietveld
steel compass-leg "Pyramid" desk.
I'm loving the wood and proportions of this one, though. The top, with its sensuous rounded and tapered edge, appears solid, too.
Oh, and I wouldn't rule out teak quite yet, either.

It looks mostly like teak to me. And it does look solid. Although as above I still feel like I am looking at the piece through a straw and can't make it out.
Can we see a photo of the end grain side showing the joint between the pieces of wood?

Hi
Have taken a couple of snaps (bit dark due to flash!) Tried to show the stain to the base of the table and the curve where it meets the veneer. Hopes this helps
thanks for the help so far...
regards
Claire

Looks like a table that is attributed to Wihelm Renz.
