So I have had this set for over 2 years now and finally am getting a chance to take the time and research as much as I can find on this design. I have searched and searched and cannot attribute anything to this et, as I cannot find anything on them. There is too much design into the over structures. angled edges, fluid Kagan-ish legs. frames top boarders, totally different front leg design. Trapazoidal shape as they taper from front to back. brass stretchers. Any help would be appreciated. Or even a direction to head. I do believe these are a designer's piece.
Thanks Steve

It looks well made but probably not by Vladimir Kagan(?). If you have access to the Kagan book from 2004, that might confirm your search.
Kagan's work is consistently fluid and sculptural and in the case of your end tables, the upper tier (if Kagan's) will probably just extend into mid air without the brass vertical supports and the shape of the coffee table top seems to be a modern translation of a traditional shape. I have not seen a Kagan piece that does this (literal reference from the past) but it needs to be researched more.
Your pieces are goodlooking and must have been done by someone or manufacturer who admired Kagan's work. I don't know where you are in the USA but if near Grand Rapids, MI (or any of the furniture centers USA) that might be your first clue.

Thanks, I didn't have a straight direction, just a lead. I do agree with you about the Kagan quality and design aspect. I just don't see these being a design by a mass production company as the compound angles and curves would be very costly for mass production, but on the other hand could just be a, like you said, admirer of the "Kagan-like " design and be just a one off by a craftsman. I will definitely do more research in hopes to finding out as much as I can before I just move on.
Thanks Steve
