I've inherited a Danish lounge chair/ottoman made by Frem Rojle (from the burned in label on the chair) but cannot find the designer or any other particulars. Also have 6 dining chairs just stamped Made in Denmark with paper cord seats. Any help in filling the blanks would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Neil

Correction:
You have the highback chair by Volther, not the lounge chair.

Thank you!
That was fast! The pictures you steered me to will help me recreate the correct upholstery shape. I remember this chair from my teen years and it was originally an orange wool.
As for the side chair, I finally found it. It is a Jørgen H. Møller Model 408 made by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, and amazingly sturdy and comfortable.
Thanks again!

.
I've never heard of Møller model 408 before. Or seen those dining chairs for that matter. Where did you find documentation on them? I am curious and like learning things.
Also, Møller seems to have been very good about marking pieces, albeit subtly. There is probably a J.L Møller brand hiding behind the "L" nails on the underside. It is usually burned lightly, and almost entirely obscured by the nails and cord. But it is recognizable if you know to look for it.

Moller Model 408
I found it by just going through the list of side chairs. I saw a model 402 that was the visual clue that gave me the designer and mfg. Then searched for the designer and voila, the model 408

The Møller 408 was used
in churches a lot instead of pews. You could order them with hymnal holders in the back.

moller brand
There is a brand mark that looks like an M made of 2 filled triangles. Is that the Miller brand?

decartes:
That is correct. There would be a brand but no model number. "J.L. Møller Models" is the correct text to accompany the logo. Not that I think there is any question.
