Purchased new from a Chicago department store (Carson Pirie Scott?) in late 1940's or thereabouts.
Have reviewed thousands of images and cant find anything similar with the angled seat/base and feet.
(It was reupholstered in 2008 and the seat back looks more angular now than the original did. Anyone know anything about it?? We are liquidating parent's estate and we need guidance on its value before letting it go.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hard to believe you've seen thousands of images of mid century sofas and not come across this one. Keep looking and you'll find it. Or pay local authority on mid century furniture for an appraisal. I think it would be worth the cost.

It is a Jens Risom sofa for Knoll Associates 1949.
There are several books out there on iconic but no longer produced mid-century designs and Knoll/Risom furniture and public libraries have them too for free to borrow.

We were pretty sure it deserved more respect than a low-ball offer from a used furniture dealer. Thanks so much for your assistance!
