I bought three chairs some years ago and still love them. They are aluminium welded frames with plywood. The upholstery when we bought it was red skai, but i do not think that is original, we took it off from one chair and the plywood beneath it was painted black, there is a sticker on the back of the back rest which says 'fantuzzi modena 921 reggio e.'. I suspect the original chair was an alu frame with plywood, probably painted black later, and then some time later it was redone by fantuzzi with the red skai. The chairs are stackable. The frame is really beautiful, the welding is done very professionally and the whole frame looks as a cast one-piece. I have searched books and the internet and must have seen at least 10,000 different types of chairs but i can not find this design. Does anyone recognize this?[the back rest black of the two chairs that are stacked was done by us as a quick experiment to see how well we could refurbish, that was red skai when we bought it].
