I picked up this coffee table this morning and before I do any work on it, I wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this piece. It is a Lane Series number 1731, with a Serial Number of 757270. I can't find another table like this online and was wondering if the formica top (it is not painted, it is really that color) and eggshell coloring on the legs were original to the piece. If all is original I would consider keeping as is. If not, I'd love to restore it to what it is supposed to be. Any guidance would be appreciated, I'm new to all this!

As a Lane afficionado, I admit I have never seen this table before. I can tell you that if you read that last number on the underside backwards, it will give you the date of manufacture. Thus your table was made on 7/27/57.

I have one just like that but I can't find a price. I emailed Lane but got no reply. If you don't mind my asking what did you buy it for? Mine was left in the place I recently moved to. Thank you.
