Hi
I'm new to this forum and not really that into design, but I've just rediscovered a chair that has a lot of emotions attached to it. The chair itself has been standing in our hallway for years (I've had it for over 20 years) and now we were ready to discard it. But first I wanted to know what exactly it is.
It has a sticker on it with Kebe Steeltube Furniture, Made in Denmark but I can't find any reference to it on their or any website. I think the object is around 25 to 30 years old (it was given to me by a dear friend who passed away 20 years ago). It's not in mint condition, probably because I used it as a student and now my kid uses it in his bedroom.
Any help in identifying this object is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Stefan
Ooo, nice! That is the Ribbon Chair by Niels Bendtsen and it is in the MoMA permanent collection! Designed in 1975.

thank you for your reply, it's kinda exciting to have this designer item 🙂
I know i'm not supposed to ask for a valuation here, but does anybody know where I could get a valuation of this item? I've been searching online, but can't find this chair online anywhere...
