I picked up this chair over the weekend.I've looked through the few furniture books I own, and I have tried looking through Google and Pinterest, and have only found a reproduction of this chair. Does anyone know the designer or manufacturer? Thanks, Michael

The closest thing I can find that resembles anything are Kagan style legs. Anyone agree? Disagree?

I don't know so much about Kagan, but the legs do remind me of Adrian Persall designs. But I've never seen either designer do something so boxy looking as the chair body.  They both tended to embrace very curvy, flowing lines in their designs.
I can't really get a grasp of the upholstery fabric used.  Are you sure about the production date being 1950-59?  If you are familiar with MCM furniture the production specs, materials and quality should tell you a lot about the date of production.
What is the upholstery stuffing made of?(Is it orange foam?)  Is the chair very heavy? Is the upholstery micro-suede or what kind of fabric material?
