Italian ceramic vase identification

I purchased this Italian 25cm ceramic baluster vase today. I know the value ($1.35 net). I enjoy the style and inherent quality (appears hand finished).
I do not recognize the partial tag affixed to the base. Any information in identifying the manufacturer will be welcomed and appreciated.

It could just be my vision but the logo looks like Pier 1 Imports. It could be an early item when the store started in the early 1960's in San Mateo, CA.
It is a nice minimalist find.

Thank you. Spanky had previously identified Pier 1 as the importer in the last thing acquired thread.
This is brand name is generally below my radar. The clean lines and apparent hand finish are a nice vintage touch. Thank you for a believable date and reliable location. I am sure all Pier 1 production has now shifted to the PRC.
