I have a couple unmarked lounge chairs that I have had for about a year. I don't imagine they are anything particularly noteworthy, as they were made to be flat-packed and the manufacturer was not particularly careful about joinery or matching grain, but I'm curious about when and by whom they were made. They are stamped "Made in Denmark" and "Nr. 5001." If anyone has any insight into the maker or the type of wood used in their construction, I would be appreciative.

I had this chair last year and found it to be one of the nicer generic versions of this style of Danish lounge chair. Radiused corners and rounded/tapering section profiles give it a little more elegance than most. My chair had "Made in Denmark" stamped in red on a few of the pieces, along with hidden keyhole joints for easy assembly. I believe it was stained beech.

Thanks, CD.
I suspected it might be beech, but have little ability to distinguish wood outside of oak and walnut.
I'm impressed with the finish in the pictures you attached. The finish on mine is a high gloss finish that has a plasticky look and feel. It is unappealing. I have been thinking about refinishing at some point in a darker tone, so it's nice to see what that might look like.
For a cheaper chair, I agree that it's well-made. While I like the idea of flat-packing, however, the keyhole joints, on mine at least, have a tendency to pop out when heavier persons sit down heavily. The front of the seat levers the screws right out of the keyhole.
