Can anyone ID these dressers? I think they are probably mass-market American made pieces. I think they are attractive and appear to be of good quality and the price seems very reasonable so I was interested.
Thanks,
Dorie\\

Owosso- made in Mich.
I talked to the seller they are made by Owosso a company out of Mich.
That being known, what do you think, are they attractive? I have been looking for some dressers with clean lines locally for some time. This is the best I've seen so far. I live in East Central Illinois so finding MCM-styled pieces is not very easy. I don't want to go the ebay route because of the shipping costs.
I'm thinking I should wait for something better to turn up.

Don't want expensive
I neglected to mention in my previous post that I the taller piece is going in my 1 yr olds bedroom. We have two active boys ages 5 and 1 so I want some pieces that I don't have to worry about.
I still think the grain pattern is a little distracting.

i like them
seems like a reasonable price barring any major issues. i don't think the wood grain is distracting, but the raised horizontal lines along the pulls make the pieces look rather busy.

I understand the dilemma. I...
I understand the dilemma. I used to live in Mississippi! It can be hard to find vintage pieces, and shipping can be way more than the price of the pieces you are buying.
I think the aesthetic of the pieces are ok at best. They are a bit busy to my eye, and I don't love the hardware. BUT - if they are well made they certainly beat the big box furniture store crap you can buy at 4 times the price. The price of these is CHEEEAAAP! Not every piece can be your favorite. Good luck.

difficult
And hard to bring something home you have doubts about.
But i did just that.
Searching for super bed-side tables, i just bought some for cheap...solid wood,
vintage mahogany but just kinda odd and not that special. Or just not quite right
for me. Not much money invested so when i find the right thing, these will
go to Sally Army. But i will no longer fret about what i needed...
I'll be a bit more patient for the right thing. And i now know
with this test what size works. (its only been about 24 hrs but what a difference
a large bed-side surface makes)
For the money, if you need it, get it.
