Found on a mid-century cabinet. It could be American or British due to the spelling of 'CREATION', but then again it could be French, just missing out the 'è'.
Any help is appreciated!

Graphically Speaking
it looks more US than UK, but a picture of the piece itself might help

It looks like this from the side, and the front doors have a marquetry pattern.

Looks like more of a contemporary one-off local artisan thing than "mid century"-

It certainly is not contemporary. There are 3 matching bookcases and a desk, all of which have genuine age to them. A quick glance at anything by Jean Royére, and you'd see the influence.
I doubt I'll find the help I need here, but thanks for everyone's time.

I vote
"Gilbert" for the first name. Not sure what's going on with the last name.

I vote
"Eubanks" for the last name. I rather like the signature.

Thanks for the replies so...
Thanks for the replies so far. I agree, it does look a bit like 'Gilbert' for the first name. The surname definitely has two 'd's on the end (dd), one of which was stamped rather faintly.
Here is a better photo of the cabinet
