Hi everyone. My husband picked up these chairs at an auction. He believes they're early mid century but there is no hint to a maker, only a "made in Sweden" burn stamp. Does anyone have any ideas as to their age/maker, etc? They're oak (which is odd), have visible joinery and seat " inserts". They are quite large. Thanks so much! 🙂

Those are Børge Mogensen Øresund series chairs for Karl Andersson (which was a Swedish maker).
Interestingly, it appears that someone stripped the woven seagrass seats off (or possibly leather), and added those "inserts."
I would absolutely restore the proper seats to the chairs.  They don't look right at all with the strange "reveals" where the old covering was supposed to go.

Thank you so much! There are empty slots beside the arm joints in the seat (of the two armchairs) and that helps explain them. It is absolutely the chair you described and made sense once I found a photo. Thank you 🙂
