ID help for vintage...
 

ID help for vintage fiberglass bench/lounge seating

Just scored this space oddity but have no clue as to who made it. American, if the "made in USA"-stamped embedded nuts are any indication, and perhaps from 1968 (the back of each seat on the inside has "68-" preceding some other alphanumeric info on each one). Painted fiberglass frame. I suppose this would technically be a bench because of the separate seats. Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

steelcase?
They make chairs that are pretty close to a one seater twin of that.

Definitely not Steelcase. I'm familiar with their Soft Seating line you're referring to.
I'm guessing this is from a more obscure Midwestern furniture company, like Krueger or something. Overall quality isn't *quite* up to the level of manufacture as Herman Miller, Steelcase, Knoll, etc.
